Weekly Marketing Execution Checklist

Print or copy this checklist each Monday. Complete by Friday. Total time: ~15-20 hours/week across all channels.


Monday: Content & Planning (3-4 hours)

Metrics Review (30 min)

  • Check GA4: weekly visitors, top pages, conversion events
  • Check Google Ads: spend, CPC, conversions, search terms report
  • Check email platform: subscribers, open rate, click rate
  • Check social media: follower growth, top posts, engagement rate
  • Check YouTube: views, watch time, subscriber change
  • Note any anomalies or wins to investigate

Content Planning (30 min)

  • Confirm this week's blog post topic
  • Outline blog post structure (H2s, key points)
  • Confirm YouTube video topic for Tuesday recording
  • Review and finalize social media schedule for the week

Blog Post (2 hours)

  • Write or finalize blog post draft
  • Run through SEO checklist (see seo-checklist.md)
  • Add images with alt text
  • Set up CTAs (in-content and end-of-post)
  • Publish (or schedule for publication)

Social Media (30 min)

  • Post educational content on LinkedIn
  • Answer 2-3 questions in Facebook groups
  • Post or schedule Instagram carousel

Tuesday: Email & YouTube (3-4 hours)

Email (30 min)

  • Final review of weekly newsletter
  • Send newsletter at 10:00 AM ET
  • Check previous newsletter's performance (opens, clicks)
  • Monitor for bounces or delivery issues

YouTube (2-3 hours)

  • Record YouTube video (based on blog content or planned topic)
  • Record 2-3 Shorts clips during the session
  • Upload raw footage for editing (Wednesday)

Social Media (30 min)

  • Answer 2-3 billing/insurance questions in Facebook groups
  • Post Instagram Reel
  • Respond to LinkedIn comments and DMs

Wednesday: Editing & Ads (2-3 hours)

YouTube Editing (1.5 hours)

  • Edit YouTube video (cuts, titles, transitions)
  • Create custom thumbnail in Canva
  • Write title, description, tags (YouTube SEO checklist)
  • Upload and schedule video
  • Edit and upload 2-3 Shorts
  • Review Google Ads: check search terms, add negatives if needed
  • Review Facebook ads: check frequency, engagement, conversions
  • Pause any keywords/ads with poor performance
  • Increase bids on strong performers (if applicable this week)

Social Media (30 min)

  • Post product-adjacent content on LinkedIn
  • Share blog post in Facebook group (only if naturally relevant to a question)
  • Post Instagram quote/stat graphic
  • Respond to all comments from yesterday

Thursday: Social & Outreach (2-3 hours)

Social Media Content Creation (30 min)

  • Batch-create social media assets for next week (Canva)
    • 2 LinkedIn post graphics
    • 2 Instagram carousels
    • 2-3 Instagram Story templates
    • 1 quote/stat graphic

Social Media Posting (30 min)

  • Post industry commentary on LinkedIn
  • Post Instagram carousel or Reel
  • Answer 2-3 questions in Facebook groups

Partnership Outreach (1 hour)

  • Send new outreach emails (3-5 per week)
  • Follow up with pending outreach (5-day rule)
  • Respond to any partner inquiries
  • Engage with partner content on social media (like, comment, share)
  • Update outreach tracking spreadsheet

Community Engagement (30 min)

  • Comment thoughtfully on 5 LinkedIn posts from target accounts
  • Engage with 3-5 posts from therapy business influencers
  • Check for brand mentions or relevant discussions

Friday: Review & Prep (1-2 hours)

Schedule Next Week (30 min)

  • Schedule all social posts for next week in Buffer
  • Confirm next week's blog topic is outlined
  • Confirm next week's YouTube video topic

Social Media (30 min)

  • Post optional LinkedIn poll or engagement post
  • Engage with 5 Facebook group posts (supportive comments)
  • Post Instagram behind-the-scenes Story

Weekly Review (30 min)

  • Compile quick metrics summary:

  • Competitive landscape check: new competitors, feature changes, pricing changes
  • Set next quarter's OKRs
  • Update MARKETING_SYSTEM.md with learnings
